What it is

Pong meets Arkanoid in your living room — solo against the AI, or two players on one screen.

Short description — for roundups

Pingmen is a fast brick-busting duel built for the living room. Two paddles face each other across a shared arena; you score by breaking bricks or by getting the ball past your opponent. Play solo against three AI difficulties, or hand someone the second controller and settle it on one screen. Free, no ads, no in-app purchases.

Long description

Pingmen takes the simplest idea in games — two paddles and a ball — and drops a destructible arena between them.

Each player controls a paddle on their side of the screen. You score two ways: break a fragile brick, or send the ball past your opponent's paddle. Matches run on a timer, so there is no waiting out a lead.

The arena is what makes it interesting. Cloner bricks multiply the ball, so suddenly there is more than one to track. Teleporter bricks swallow the ball and spit it out somewhere else on the board. Pulsar bricks make your own paddle vibrate sideways. Solid bricks cannot be destroyed at all — learn to use them as walls.

Solo players get three AI difficulties, ranging from simply tracking the ball to predicting its path and positioning strategically. There are 32 achievements, some one-off and some tiered, plus a profile with match history and stats.

Beyond the built-in levels, players can play pingrounds — levels built by other players. You can browse and search them right on the TV, and build your own in the editor at pingmen.games.

Pingmen was built by Inganno, a one-person independent studio in the Czech Republic. It is free, carries no ads, and sells nothing inside the app.
